BRIEF - Design a video overlay to sit on top of promotional footage for the homepage of SWG3’s new website and animate their logos in a similar style, in collaboration with Phoebe Willison

CHALLENGE - The challenge for this project was to create an overlay in keeping with the website and to engage the audience throughout the video. The drop-in effect featured heavily on the existing website and this was carried through to the design. The ‘SWG3 Presents’ logo had to mirror the website style but feature a twist to set it apart and indicate that it is a live events brand.

SOLUTION - Audience engagement was achieved through the use of a rapid drop-in effect and by randomising the placement of text to keep viewers guessing. The motion design for the ‘SWG3 Presents’ logo incorporated similar ideas to tie it into the brand, with the added flickering effect to simulate the flashing lights of a concert.
