Neil Geddes

BRIEF - Create a friendly and professional visual brand identity for Neil Geddes, a Veterinary Ophthalmologist (animal eye doctor).

CHALLENGE - A fundamental aspect of this project was to project a familiar veterinary ‘feel’ without using classic tropes. This, coupled with the requirement to include eyes, created a fairly unique challenge. The logo uses negative space and simple shapes to display at first glance a spotted dog with an eye patch. The circle also shows the light from the microscope used to inspect animal eyes during consultation and surgery.

SOLUTION - By combining the logo with soft blues and a crisp sans serif typeface, the overall feel stays close to other Vet brands whilst holding on to individual traits, creating a welcoming and professional visual identity for Neil Geddes’s brand.
