DDA

BRIEF - To create a distinct logo, illustration and visual identity for Daffodil Dance Academy, an inclusive dance school for 2-18 year olds.

CHALLENGE - The three key requirements for the DDA branding were to stand apart from other dance schools, capture a sense of movement, and evoke the feel of a clothing brand as opposed to a uniform. While daffodils aren't explicitly used anywhere, the logotype takes shapes from the petals and trumpet of the flower. This allowed the designs to appeal to all ages and remain gender-neutral.

SOLUTION - The resulting branding and clothing has a futuristic and ‘cool’ look that depicts energy with its slanting shapes and twisting lines, allowing the kids at DDA to stand out at competitions without feeling like they are in uniform.
